Size of school: 650 students

Mission Statement:
Louisville Collegiate School inspires academic excellence, extraordinary character, and global citizenship.

Experience our Culture:
Nestled in the historic neighborhood of the Highlands near downtown Louisville lies the tree-lined campus of Louisville Collegiate School; a safe and invigorating environment where students expand their knowledge, widen their world-view, express their inner selves, and follow their dreams. Collegiate is a caring community of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents fully engaged in the development of the whole individual. Students experience a challenging and robust co-educational JK-12 program where they are enabled to rise above and go beyond expectations in preparations for a journey of lifelong learning.

Experience our Classroom:
In the intimate environment of our independent day school, teachers and students, together, turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. The exceptional faculty provides the catalyst for Collegiate’s reputation of excellence in the classroom and for a strong family atmosphere on campus. Collegiate goes beyond basic academic criteria to strengthen the mind, body, and soul. We incorporate the college preparatory curriculum to enrich the artistic, athletic, and holistic development of each individual student. Collegiate’s community is uniquely interwoven by mentor relationships among teachers and students.

Experience our Creativity:
Collegiate recognizes each individual is uniquely creative. Our students explore and enhance their creativity through studies in music, studio art, drama, and photography. By participating in concerts, art shows, plays, and musicals, our imaginative artists sharpen their talents by sharing them with the Louisville community. Collegiate’s fine arts programs play a key role in helping our students stretch their minds and reach their full potential.

Experience our Athletics:
Leadership skills are learned not only in the classroom but also through physical achievements. The rigorous activity of athletics ingrains discipline, balance, teamwork, and dedication in the hearts and minds of our athletes. More than 80 percent of Collegiate’s Middle and Upper School students participate in at least on interscholastic sport. We offer a wide variety of sports including baseball, basketball, cross country, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, rowing (crew), soccer, softball, swimming, tennis and track and field. Our first-rate athletic complex boasts two new gymnasiums, state-of-the-art training facilities, plus 24 acres of competitive playing fields. Collegiate is a Lifetime Member of the Cherokee Triangle.
